Besides a mothership, of course. It's the only time I've seen an artifact that looks like this.

Most likely a (rotating) satellite in a higher orbit.
A plane travels much faster - crosses the entire field of view of the telescope, i.e. several dozen of these small frames, in a few seconds - and just a few miles/km up the navigation lights on a plane are much much brighter (you can see them with a naked eye) so a single "blink" would easily saturate the entire image
