Negative artefacts?

  Question: I look at the shots inverted (negative). A lot of times in that view there are white blobs. In normal, positive view those are 95% of the times not visible because they are ofcourse dark.
  Do these white blobs/artefacts in inverted view also count as artefacts or is it only of interest if there are artefacts clearly visible in the positive/non-reverted shots?
