    Just a glitch of noise. Most of the transient stuff on these images is just irregularities in the chip from cosmic rays, coincidental atmospheric scintillation and so on. Raw data has a real look of slight rattiness all the time.

    To put it in perspective, a Hubble image is worked on for hours before it's considered presentable to the public. These were processed in seconds.
