Asteroid Zoo Talk

left to right? top to bottom?

  • aspringer by aspringer

Will possible asteroids move in a set sequence such as left to right? Or can they move in any direction, bottom to top, right to left etc.
Will they be in somewhat of a straight line or can they move in a pattern such as a triangular motion?

With additional data, data which is not directly available at the classifying page, you might be able to predict the general direction asteroids might be moving in, in a particular Azoo-Set (but its still a statistical general, and exception are still possible.)
But without that additional needed data ... asteroids movement in a given Azoo-Set can't be predicted, so they will/can be moving any which way.

See this retrograde motion page for some basics about why solar-system objects more around the sky(Earth or Earth orbit telescope) as they do. And/Or Google it for more.

Asteroids, from a human perspective, will always be moving in virtual strait lines in the CSS/Azoo image Sets.

That "triangular motion" indicates a artifact, and its motion in related to some intentional telescope behavior.
(Use Azoo-Search to find more info about this in other talk posts.)

Thank you. This helps define what I am seeing vs what I should be looking for.
