Asteroid Zoo Paused (May 19, 2016)
Although I'm active in AZ Talk, I'm not actively doing any AZ classifying. As such I missed the message on the main-AZ page that AZ went on hold.
Additional asteroid-zoo-paused Zoo-blog post:
The AsteroidZoo community has exhausted the data that are available at this time.
This to me seem a misrepresentation based on the data I pulled from AZ.
This is a graphical representation of the AZ-Sets collection. Which, with a shy million sets, is pretty large.
Included in it are 3 sections that show the state of the AZ-sets in that section.
- States (Color):
- Inactive (Blue)
- Active (Green)
- Paused (Magenta)
- Completed (White)
- Completed + Bad (Black)
It seems to me that there is still plenty of blue (Inactive, not Completed) to go around. ... But its kinda hard to argue about something when the other side is generally silent.
Time to reevaluate some AZ related stuff on my side.
Some news on some other "Planetary Resources" project, that got tuned down.
